Oil painting is another form of paintings where oil colors are typically used by an artist. Oil paints are continued to be popular worldwide due to their quality, finishing, versatility, quality, and color itself. Since artists are working with toxic solvents and mediums and as a result of this, the drying time is much longer as compared with water-paintings or acrylic painting.

Oil Paintings
Usually, the artist uses three different sized brushes to start with. Brushes formed with synthetic bristles, but there is also a range of natural-hair brushes which are in use since a long time. Painting surfaces can be anything such as paper, canvas, wood etc. But whichever surfaces being used, there should be some thin layer of primer should be applied. The primer is used to prevent the oil from leaking into the surface and also helps to protect the surface from paint acids.
Oil paints and mediums are toxic if they get absorbed into the skin. Hence make sure that, you keep them away and out of reach from pets and kids. Since oil paint colors are used, paintings need to be kept away from the dust.
